We survived the rally today...

There was a definite lack of available water today, but aside from that and some very tired and sweaty children it was worth being there. It would have been easier without the kids, but I think that my sister and I both thought that should the Dems win in November it will be great for the kids to have been there looking back.

Still, it was a part of history and I was glad that I got to witness it. I have pictures and I am putting them behind a cut because I left them as big as photobucket would let me. If I hadn't you wouldn't be able to see the little splotches that are the Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates.

There were some wonderful people there, like the woman that fanned Max with a paper fan while we waited for 45 minutes in a crush of people just to get water and the man ahead of me in line for water who bought 10 cups of water and just started passing them back telling those around us to make sure that the kids and "people who need them" got the water. The electricity of the crowd was an amazing thing to experience. I don't think we made it onto TV though, we were a bit far back in the crowd. :)

Here are our little Obama Supporters who really were troopers all day long.Photobucket

Here is a labled picture of Barack Obama and a few other people who were there today.

This is Biden and Obama on stage together if you look really close.

This is a really large flag that was behind where we were standing.

These were some of the guys keeping everybody safe today.

Great photos. I love that it is easier to see the sharpshooter guys than the candidates. I can just imagine the electricity in the crowd. When I have time I am going to post a Joe Biden story but I have always liked him.

I so love the 'sniper cam' shots!

All I can say is that now that Biden is in the mix, things will be getting decidedly more interesting. Let the games begin!

Love the sharpshooters. I think Obama has a large number of supporters who are non-US ppl, and who are hoping that he can sort the US out!
