Two weeks since my last update???

Sorry about that. I was busy squeeing over the BSG mid-season finale.

Just to let everyone know, our farm is so far safe from any flooding. There was some standing water in some of our fields, but my dad was able to replant within a couple of days. Apparently, the weather people are calling the area where we live "The Garden Spot." When everywhere around up got 10 inches of rain, we got three. And we did not have any significant flooding. There was standing water in some people's fields that don't drain well, but no rivers overflowing thier banks around us. Which is lucky because we live within sight of the Sangamon River and about 5 miles from where it joins the Illinois River.

We are crossing our fingers, because they are now predicting drought-like conditions for the rest of the summer.

In good news, my little sister will be home for two weeks from her Peace COrps position in the Dominican Republic starting this Friday. YAY!!!! I am so glad as this will be the first time in a long time that I will be able to see my little sister for two weeks straight!!!!!

My older sister violet451's birthday is tomorrow. She has been doing very well considering that the past two weeks have brought the one year anniversary of 1)the fire, 2)the arrest of her ex-husband for causing the fire, 3)the finalization of her divorce from said felon and 4) Father's Day.

She has a new job as a high school teacher for this fall, and she has a boyfriend that she has been seeing for about three months now. :D

Max is fabulous btw. He had a bit of a tummy bug last week, which is probably a result of the fact that his favorite teether is whose ever shoe is handy. He has 7 teeth now and I can see three more under his gums. He is enjoying the warm weather and when my mom's little pool gets warm enough I will take some pics of the wee man in his swimming trunks.

Hope all of you are well!!
