It was an interesting morning...

So the baby woke me up around 2:30am. I grabbed him and chucked him into bed with me.

And then at 4:30am... the EARTHQUAKE woke me up!

The house was shaking and all the windows were rattling. Of course I had a momentary freak out because in my mind the only think that would have shaken the house like that was a tornado, so I grabbed the baby and jumped out of bed. I looked out the window and it was as calm a night as you could want. And then my brain was like "oh, I guess that was an earthquake."

Well, I was quite impressed. It was my first one and all.

Isn't nature an exciting beast? Was it over 5 on the Richter scale? I don't notice anything under 5 any more LOL. But I hope it didn't do any damage. And did young Max manage to sleep through it?

I think it was a 5.2, no damage, I think one of my grandmother's plants fell off a table. Max sort of woke up when I snatched him out of bed, but he went right back to sleep.

Oh my!
The earth moved for you then!

Apart from my flu induced silliness, I hope that you, bub and everyone are all right.

Good that things are ok. I hear it was a fairly widespread quake.

Sounds exciting!

Glad nothing was broken and that you guys are fine. You should make a scrapbook or something for Max and put all these things in it... lol. He might enjoy the read when he gets older.

Loved chatting to you last night, even if it was only for a very short time. Glad to hear that you are doing well.

You never forget your first! :-)

I'm trying very hard not to be smug, after decades of listening to folks from the Midwest ask me how I could live in California when it could fall into the ocean at any minute...
