Home Again

Being in the hospital is BORING.

The only fun part was when they brought me the Flexeril and Percocet at the same time. And then everything was fun for about an hour.

Oh and I got to be pushed around in a wheelchair and go up and down in the elevator right after I got the good drugs.

All this because pulled muscles suddenly decided at 3am early Monday morning to turn into severe, constant and painful back spasms with referential shoulder pain. I figured if it hurt to breathe I probably needed to see someone about it.

I went to the hospital where we are planning to go when the Puff is ready to arrive, and they put me up in a hall that adjoins labor and delivery. The Puff was, of course, oblivious to all and kept kicking the fetal monitor which made very weird noises. The nurses were very nice and the food sucked. I got to be in my own room which was very nice. They have decent cable at said hospital which was also a plus as the Slytherin neglected to retrieve my book when I sent him home.

Anyway they sent me home last night and I am feeling better, and still taking some good drugs. Now I am going to take a nap.

Oooh. Flexeril is da bomb. Percocet is nice too. I've never had them both at the same time, though. I imagine that would be like getting to cut to the head of the line for Space Mountain. Glad you're feeling better, love. Guess ladytonks is right. One can achieve better living through chemistry. :D

So sorry you had pain! Having had a recent hospital stay myself I empathize greatly.

Percocet gives me bad dreams. Not the sort of nightmare things you were talking about the other day -- but scary nonetheless. It is usually something like I am flying -- which is nice not an uncommon pleasant dream for me -- but then I start to go faster and faster and I can't stop. Stuff like that.

So glad to hear that you and the Puff are doing okay. Take it easy, okay?

Hospitals never have nice food. We don't want you to really feel at home. That's why the pillows are covered in plastic too - stops them getting soaked from all the drooling due to boredom.
It is always reassuring to hear that nurses are nice!
Hope you are feeling better sooner rather than later - you have been through a bad spell.
