Clerks 2 and Birthday Pressies!

Okay so my step son took me to see Clerks 2 this evening as his gift to me for my birthday. Such a kind giving child he is, since there was absolutely NOTHING in it for him! Hee hee. His dad did not want to see it and I think that his mother only would have taken him after hell freezes over.

My Opinion: I rather liked it and was slightly horrified and amused at the same time, on at least two occasions if not more. So maybe a really funny car wreck? Anyway, as always Jay and Silent Bob were my favorite parts. And it was very much in the tone of the first, but it had "grown up" a bit in some ways. I am still a rock solid Kevin Smith fan girl. It was cool to see Jay (Jason Mewes) pimping his sobriety with his character as well especially after reading his real life story over at http://silentbobspeaks.com

Oh and you should all be very happy for myself and the Slytherin that he FINALLY got my birthday present and a very lovely completely Democratic Birthday card for me. I have a new keyboard and a new mouse. Wireless and very shiny! He said that he had been looking for a wireless headset with a mic, but had been unable to find one. He has won back my favor with the lovely sentiments that he wrote in the card. I suppose that he has earned back his good boy status and he will be properly rewarded. :D

So yeah I feel better than I have in a few weeks. Since I got a nice pressie and laughed my ass off for a good hour and a half at the movies.

SO if you missed my other online pressie please go over to phoenixchicks and read over the last six or so entries. It is the kindest and craziest thing that anyone has ever done for my birthday and it was... well, it was just the BEST! Again many thanks and much love to everyone who helped put it together!!

You're probably going to hate me when I say this, but I like in Middletown, NJ where the Quickstop is(granted its on the other side of town, but yeah). I know where Kevin Smith's parents live, and have spent far too much time hanging out in Red Bank. The fact that people from outside of NJ love Kevin Smith and go to see Red Bank and the Quickstop always amuses me. Some people get really really really jealous when they hear I've met people in the movies and see Smith all the time on the street.
