Why thank you!

It is rather odd because people hear that I collect them and then they try to give me teapots shaped like chickens or little houses and I am like "Uhmmm, no."

Another tea pot collector! My favorite teacher in high school started my teapot collection with a graduation gift, and I've been collecting ever since. I just wish I could finally get my mother to tell the difference between a tea and cofee pot...sometimes birthday are a bit akward!

Not the mass of Aussie literature-no.
The Minis Tirith figurine on the 3rd pic.
I have the same one

Do you have Gollum and the Argonath too?

Stumbled upon your journal quite randomly when green_kiwigirl told me you have a George/Luna fic I simply have to check out. I can't resist commenting (and, consequently, friending you) because you collect teapots - me, too! And you appear to have excellent taste in children's/young adult literature, which is another thing to squee about - Silverstein, Rowling, and the Anne of Green Gables series. Not to mention all your other books! (I'm a teacher, so books are what I geek out over...*blush*) Anyway, yes. We have quite a few friends in common, and now I'm going to add you to my list, too. Hope that's okay.

*is off to CM to find "Elemental"*

Oh I do love new friends!
I hope that you enjoyed the George/Luna fic as well.
And I have had A Light in the Attic since I was four. The note in the front is from my mother and says "To a little girl who will soon be able to read to herself." Oh how true that was!
I tend to squee a bit over books as well, and when I just want some good brain vacation I read Anne of the Island as it is one of my favorites of all time!

Isn't it nice to have "comfort books" the same way there are certain "comfort foods" that we keep going back to time and again? Shel Silverstein is one of my favorite authors, and I can recall checking out Where the Sidewalk Ends repeatedly at the library as a kid. :)

I hope that you enjoyed the George/Luna fic as well.

Oh, I did, I did! I left you a lengthy review over on CM, which you've probably received by now. :) I enjoyed your interpretation of the pairing so much, that I'm going to beg you for any fic recs you might have for G/L. *begs*
