My chest CT showed that the shadow on my x-rays was just scarring from a previous infection.

So yay!

BUT, they still have no idea why I am in constant pain in my rib cage and I currently have bursitis flare ups in my knees and shoulders. Seriously, my shoulders pop when I swing my arms as I walk. I am waiting for the nurse to call me back and let me know what I need to do next. I am giving her about an hour and then I am calling another nurse in the practice and asking her what I should do and getting an appointment with the doctor. No offense to the nurse practitioners that I have been seeing, but he has treated my and my family for a long time and he knows what diseases run in my family and the like.

Ugh. I am sick of feeling awful and I don't want to wait until 8-2 to see a rhuemetologist

Experience with family is a key thing. Are all your joints having problems, or just the shoulders and ribs? Is there rheumatoid arthritis in your family? i know that with the diabetes, you are more prone to other autoimmune diseases.

Whew. I'm glad that they didn't find any of the scary stuff on the scan.

And seeing a specialist at this point... sounds like a really good idea. Did they see any signs of calcification/arthritis on the scan?
